The Local Government Information and Meetings Act is an important piece of legislation that helps to regulate what information can be made available to the public. This introductory eLearning module was created to raise awareness of LGOIMAs and became mandatory learning company wide.
The challenge for this project was how to present a complex legal subject matter in an engaging way. Learning that was comprehensive enough to satisfy legal teams but accessible enough to be understood my all staff. The approach was a series of animated explainer videos connect by knowledge check sections. A final summative assessment allows learners to visit real-life scenarios and make informed choices.
The module was followed by more in depth pieces focused on the needs of SMEs and specific business units.
